Saturday 23rd January - The Burns Supper is an institution of Scottish life: a night to celebrate the life and works of the national Bard and all things Scottish. Ours is an indulgent affair with fine old Malt Whisky, fine Wine, our proven Scottish dishes, Poetry by our "foolhardy chairman" and Piper.
Our "foolhardy chairman" Gregor Wood grew up at Ledard, near the Hotel in a farming background. Gregor was also a former Royal Military Policeman and served with the armed forces overseas for six years.
He is recognized as one of the finest presenters of Burns poetry and is an expert on Rob Roy and the weapons of the Highland Clans with experience as a re-enactor. He also has extensive experience as an actor and compere. Gregor has a love of Scottish music and plays the Great Highland and Scottish Small Bagpipes.

You can see more of Gregor and his Father Fergus at their family Farm Ledard. Fergus plays every Hogmanay at the Hotel.

Once again we say a big thank you to our local Distillery Sponsor Deanston in Doune. Tonight we show a selection of their wonderful Malts, many of which are featured in our Malt Vault all year.
